Morning Sonnet

The silence of the night is broken
As the sun's glow appears on the horizon;
The beach becomes alive as light radiates
Into the sky - Replacing darkness
And the sounds of a new day begin.
Sand crabs dart along the waters edge
Waves deposit the oceans treasure
As the tide rushes in - Claiming a presence
A power that all in it's path succumb to.
Seagulls and pelicans scan the waters surface
For a delecatable feast waiting to be consumed.
The quiet sounds of a summer sunrise
The sonnet of a new day has begun
Infusing tranquility to my spirit
Restoring peace to my soul.
A blessing given - A blessing received.
