NATURE'S   HEALING

Mankind has depended on healing sources and cures for illness long
before the world of modern medicine. The rainforest of the earth have
yielded a pharmacy of drugs for healing and are full of yet unclaimed
remedies for sickness and disease; yet this source is rapidly depleting
due to ignorance and greed on the part of big business in an uncaring
world dominated not by compassion but by greed. Instead of taping
these resources for what they can provide , pharmaceutical companies
are using synthesised drugs instead of reaping the bounty that is already
here . The health industry is a money machine tying patients and physicians
hands on how one is to be treated. It is sad that so many dedicated doctors
and nurses have to look at a person as a cost effective commodity rather
than a human being in need of assistance. This page is an example of common
folk remedies for various ailments and is not intended to replace the advice
of a doctor. I find it interesting that in our own backyards there are plants
that were once used for the cures of our ancestors. When not prepared
properly some of these plants killed and not healed, as it was a learning
process through the years as many lives were sacrificed in the quest for knowledge.
